The 40' Hunter yacht has an interesting past. It was allegedly on the way to the Virgin Islands, but got caught in a storm with inexperience sailors at the helm, who were airlifted to Nassau.
No-one came to claimed the beached yacht. Sea scavengers immediately set upon the boat to pillage anything valuable. (see sea wreckers at work taking out the engine)
It seemed a shame to me that the hull would simple go to waste, so I asked the Harbour Master if I could tow it into my propery. He gave me the necessary paperwork, filled it out, and towed it to my property.
It has recently been renovated inside by a marine carpenter who is also installing a solar panel, mostly so I can get experienced with this soon-to-be popular technology.
